Brent Gordon is an associate with the firm practicing in the areas of criminal and civil litigation. His criminal practice involves representation of defendants in state courts at the trial stage and also includes record sealing and expungement. His civil practice, likewise involves a wide range of areas. Brent is involved with commercial litigation, Federal Appellate work, Education Law, and Family Law.
Prior to joining the Firm, Brent served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida. While at the State Attorney's Office, Brent served as the Lead Misdemeanor Prosecutor and later served as a Traffic Prosecutor. During this time, Brent made over 250 various court appearances and hearings including almost 20 jury trials.
Brent is a native of Florida and attended the University of Florida where he received his Juris Doctorate, a Master's Degree in Education, and his Bachelor's Degree. While at UF Law, Brent completed a Family Law clinic, served as a research assistant in Worker's Compensation, and clerked for the Eighth Judicial Circuit Court.
While at UF, Brent was elected in three separate campus-wide elections to serve as Student Body President, Student Body Treasurer, and Honor Court Chancellor/Chief Justice of the Student Court. Brent also served on the UF Athletic Association Board of Directors, UF Foundation Board of Directors, and the UF Alumni Association Board of Directors. Brent was also inducted into Florida Blue Key, Florida's Oldest and Most Prestigious Leadership Honorary, and the UF Hall of Fame.
He works closely with the Founder and Chairman of the Board, Anthony S. Battaglia and Shareholders Stephen J. Wein and Timothy W. Weber.
