Patricia M. (Trish) Dockery is head of the Bankruptcy Department and the Wills, Trust, Estate Planning and Probate Department. In addition to holding a JD degree, Trish has a Masters Degree in Business and is a Florida Certified Public Accountant.
Trish is a third generation Floridian and was raised in
Orlando and
Lakeland . She graduated from
Lakeland High School and during her senior year at LHS she was simultaneously enrolled as a freshman at Florida Southern College. At the age of nineteen, Trish graduated with High Honors from
Florida Southern where she majored in Behavioral Psychology and Business.
Subsequently, Trish enrolled at
Rollins College where she earned a Master of Science in Management with a major in accounting. Thereafter, she began a lengthy career in various aspects of accounting and taxation. Trish began her accounting career in the Tax Department of a former national CPA firm. Subsequently, she was an Accounting Professor at Florida Southern College; established her own CPA firm; and concluded her accounting career as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the
United Way of Central Florida.
Thereafter, Trish attended law school at
Stetson University where she graduated with honors. While at Stetson, Trish served as a Research Assistant to the Director of the Legal Writing Program and was selected for membership in Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Fraternity.
Since becoming an attorney in 2000, Trish has practiced in the areas of Bankruptcy, Estate Planning, Probate, Real Estate, and Business Law. Her extensive business and accounting background complements her legal training and provides her a unique perspective issues facing her clients.
Trish is a member of the Business Law Section and the Real Property and Probate Section of the Florida Bar. Additionally, she is a member of the Bankruptcy Section and the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the St. Petersburg Bar Association. She is a 2003 graduate of Leadership St. Pete and served on the Planning Committee subsequent to her graduation.
