Tampa Divorce and Alimony Attorneys
The family law attorneys at Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & Wein, P.A., have extensive experience representing clients in alimony/spousal support matters. We work hard to ensure our clients receive the support to which they are entitled, or if they are the payer, that they do not pay more than they should.

Although we strive to negotiate spousal support plans that both parties agree on, we are prepared to aggressively fight for your interests in the courtroom. Please contact an attorney at our office in St. Petersburg, Florida, today.
How Is Spousal Support Determined?
Unlike child support, there is not statutory formula for calculating spousal support. It is based on the length of the marriage, the need for receiving support, the ability to pay it, and other situation-specific circumstances. Sometimes it is predetermined by a prenuptial or postnuptial agreement. Our family law department helps clients determine if spousal support is something to consider in their divorce.
Terminating Spousal Support
In the past, spousal support was terminated upon remarriage. Today, however, support obligations may be terminated when the payee enters into a supportive relationship (example: financially supportive significant other). Our family law attorneys will help determine if spousal support can be terminated or reduced in your situation.
