How Is Spousal Support Determined?
Unlike child support, there is not statutory formula for calculating spousal support. It is based on the length of the marriage, the need for receiving support, the ability to pay it, and other situation-specific circumstances. Terminating Spousal Support
In the past, spousal support was terminated upon remarriage.
